Cut her off (2026), Performance video, 3:45

NL

The maintenance of grass in gardens reflects a human ideal of control, care, and standardization, an outlook that is also evident in the way the (female) body is perceived. By performing a ritual act involving body hair, the work draws parallels between the management of nature and the regulation of bodies. The performance explores what it means to be shaped and constrained by aesthetic and societal expectations.
