Kleine intieme omgevingen.

ENG

In my work, I explore the stillness, atmospheres, rhythms, and structures of nature. This includes the duality of decay and growth. It's a moment when the transience of matter is given the space to transform. With my work, I aim to capture these (silent) transitions.

To create my works, I prefer to work with various mediums that I can combine, so that my work is built on different layers. These works are created, for example, by combining living beings like sprouting seeds with non-living materials. This allows me to incorporate the tangible experience of these different processes into my work.

By working with installations, I give a physical, spatial dimension to a story, creating an experience that can be both recognizable and alienating. My works therefore often unfold in spaces'. Small, intimate environments. These arise from my own inner wonder, a desire for safety, shelter, and reflection. They are temporary sanctuaries.
